MBA admissions

For founders the admissions committee does not expect.

No brand-name employer. A test score under the median. A business you started yourself, somewhere most of the class has never worked. That was my file, and Wharton, Kellogg, Haas and Tepper admitted me.

01Who it is for

For you if

  • You are a founder, co-founder, family-business operator or early startup hire
  • You have no consulting, banking or big-tech name on your resume
  • Your GRE or GMAT sits at or under the median
  • You are applying from an emerging market, or you are non-traditional in the US
  • You need to work out how to pay for it

Not for you if

  • You want someone to write your essays. I never write a sentence of them
  • Your only goal is a visa
  • You want a guarantee of admission. Nobody honest can give one

Result11 schools in Round 2. Admitted to Wharton, Kellogg, Haas and Tepper
MoneyNo scholarship. Self-financed

The pattern I teach: my four admits were the four schools that let me be seen, in a team discussion, on video or in an interview. The schools that only read the file said no.

04Questions
Will you write or edit my essays?

I review, question and structure. I never write your sentences. Admissions readers can tell, and it is your application.

Which schools?

Top US programmes are where I have the most direct experience. If Europe or Asia is on your list, ask on the first call.

Can you introduce me to students or alumni?

Where I can, yes. I studied with a wide class at Wharton and stay close to many of them.

How do I pay?

In US dollars, by invoice, upfront. If you live in a lower-income country, ask about cohort pricing on the first call.
